Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the All Things Potato iOS app (the “App”) and the related website at allthingspotato.com. By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms and by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on your own Apple devices for non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Use the App in any way that interferes with our servers or other users’ enjoyment
• Scrape, mirror, or systematically download recipe data via our API

2. Content ownership

Recipe content, copy, illustrations, branding, the “Potato Points” gamification system, and the App’s code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

Content you create inside the App — recipe notes, collection names, manual shopping list items, etc. — remains yours. The App stores it locally and, if you’re a Premium subscriber, syncs it through your personal iCloud account. We don’t access, read, or train anything on your content.

3. In-app purchases and subscriptions

The App offers two paid products: the Remove Ads non-consumable IAP and the Premium auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly tier for new subscribers).

• Billing: handled entirely by Apple through your iTunes/App Store account. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• Free trial: the yearly trial converts to a paid yearly subscription unless you cancel before the 7 days end.
• Cancellation: manage or cancel anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. You retain access until the end of the current paid period.
• Refunds: refund requests go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
• Restore: if a purchase doesn’t appear on a new device, tap “Restore Purchases” on the Profile or paywall screen.

4. Disclaimer of warranties

The App and all recipe content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific recipe will turn out to your taste. Cooking involves judgment; use common sense around food safety, allergies, and high-heat techniques.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the App, including (without limitation) data loss, missed reminders, or culinary disasters. Our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid for the App or in-app purchases in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms (for example, by abusing the API or attempting to bypass payments). Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability — will survive.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will bump the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you disagree with an update, your remedy is to stop using the App and cancel any active subscription.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of- law principles. Any disputes that can’t be resolved by good-faith email exchange will be settled in the courts of Istanbul.
